Elizabeth Pawle is my favourite artist at the moment. Her work is so beautiful, detailed and harmoniously coloured. She creates beautiful embroidered textiles, weavings and wall hangings using simple running stitches and french knots. I have been creating embroidery pieces based on her work this half term in order to inspire my year 10 students. What do you think?

Year 7 Jon Burgerman inspired Masks
In year 7 we have been looking at the fantastic doodle work from Artist Jon Burgerman. The year 7 students have created their own masks based on their own doodle ideas/research. Here are a few examples. Students used cardboard, mixed media, paint, 3D card board layers and tissue paper. Fantastic work girls. Keep working well.

Here are is an example of Amy's shaded, detailed and annotated final design. Amy Blay is such a talented young lady who I am sure will succeed in whatever she chooses to do. Well done Amy, you truly are a super star. Keep up the good work.
